Is this an official integration?

This integration is NOT supported or officially released by Imou or linked in any way to Imou.

It is the result of the analysis of the public documentation released by Imou for its open platform.

Starting from October 2024, Imou released an official Home Assistant integration. The integration is available for download here. It got already a couple of updates since then.

Despite Imou official integration may look similar to this one, it is based on a different code and offers slightly different functionalities (more limited, at least at the time of writing). Additionally the polling interval cannot be configured so BEWARE that may consume quicker your credits. Nevertheless, being officially supported and written by the vendor, I do expect to behave better, especially with new camera models.

I am currently investigating if continuing to support this integration now that an official one is out still makes sense, especially with the limited and outdated documentation available for new models.

For this reason, I'd invite whoever experiences issues with this integration to try the official and let me know if it solves the problem, so to understand if makes still sense to continue the development of this project.
