Hi!
Someone can give some hints of how to use a 3D Velocity grid like this:

Hello,

The best to start is to take a look at the document
https://github.com/alomax/NonLinLoc/blob/dev/doc/Gempa_ALomax__Use_of_3D_models_within_NLL_05.pdf,
https://github.com/alomax/NonLinLoc/blob/dev/doc/2_NonLinLoc_ControlFile_0.1.pdf,
and other information in https://github.com/alomax/NonLinLoc/tree/dev/doc.

Also see the NLL 3D grid structure format here: http://alomax.free.fr/nlloc/soft7.00/formats.html#grid

I hope this helps you to get going...

Best regards,
Anthony

I'm currently investigating using NonLinLoc with the SSST method for some work and I would like to use a 3D velocity grid. I've written the grid to the TomoDD input format; does anyone happen to know if this is similar to the FDTomo format? Unfortunately, it seems the original FORTRAN codebase for FDTomo is no longer around, and the documentation site is also missing, so I'm not really sure if it is comparable.

I was able to successfully run Vel3Grid3D, so that suggests all is well, but some confirmation would be great!

Rather than creating a new thread, I thought that this would be good to post here.
