I am assessing location reliability of an event catalog based on, among other metrics, the evaluation of the station coverage for each event. Among the metrics and approaches I am testing to evaluate the station coverage is the Network Resolution Index (NRI), which should resolve the power of the station configuration for an event, based on the geometry and distance to stations and which should be computed as the determinant of the covariance matrix from the inversion of travel times.
Is such a matrix the same as that in the NonLinLoc location file in the STATISTICS line, COVXX, XY, and so on?
Cheers!
