Bump deps; disable wgpu for now

Unfortunately, wgpu suffers from horrendous latency issues that keep
getting placed into one catch-all GitHub issue which links back to a
Vulkan extension proposal that's been in development hell since 2020.
Somehow, OpenGL can solve this problem but Vulkan can't.
