Hi,

thank you for the excellent Variety app you made.

The issue I have is when Variety is configured to uses the photos on a Synology NAS (SMB mount), there are a lot of same entries
(about 7) in the log for only one file.
Could you tell me why and if will possible to change this plz ?

see the screenshot here

Sorry, I don't understand what the image you posted actually means. Is your NAS logging all attempts to read a file, write to it, or something else? I don't expect Variety to write to local wallpaper dirs, but reading from it regularly seems reasonable if you have e.g. the clock filter enabled

Turning verbose logging (variety -vvv) and correlating the logs there with whatever Synology logs may also help.

Hi and thanx for your help,

@jlu5 , the screenshot I posted is the NAS log of Variety access to show an image on the PC screen,

I dont't understand this : "but reading from it regularly seems reasonable if you have e.g. the clock filter enabled"

@peterlevi, where I see the log when I paste the -vvv command plz ?
~> variety -vvv
Variety est déjà démarré. Envoi de la commande à l'instance ouverte.

Exit variety first. Then run it with -vvv and it will log directly in the terminal where you ran it.

Thank you, I don't know why I don't do that first !! sorry

There are many returns with -vvv argument, but I can't see why Variety needs to access 7 times on the file in the NAS !?
