poppler-utils provides pdftotext utility which can extract text from PDF files. This is very useful as unfortunately graphical PDF readers on Linux suffer from some accessibility problems, smaller or bigger.
Additionally, it would be great to have shortcuts for file managers (context menu) packaged as well.
