bash can encode string literals like this: $'foo'
$'foo'
For example, printf %q foo$'\n'bar will choose to encode in this style: $'foo\nbar'
printf %q foo$'\n'bar
$'foo\nbar'
bash-parser doesn't seem to parse this.
