Top issues for TPAC 2023

Hi Editors and other's involved in this spec, could we get a list of priority issues we might want to discuss in person at TPAC in September, and a general list of top issues for the spec in general. I noticed there is a "P1" label... is that representative of the top issues? Thanks in advance!

I've spent some time today going through open issues and PRs, and here are a few suggestions:

  • Issue for the definition of duration in MediaPositionState #252 and Enforce member validity via WebIDL #255
  • The freezing in the artwork getter is broken #237, The "convert artwork algorithm" is somewhere between underdefined and nonsensical #176, and Update type of MediaMetadata's artwork #243

  • Integrate Media Session with Permissions Policy #221
  • mediaSession and stream srcObject? #261 and related Audio Session issue: Does media session work with WebAudio? audio-session#10
• Bigger picture issues
  • Media Session and video conferencing

    • Privacy issue: is it a good idea to let webapps lie about camera/mic ON/OFF on a user's lock screen? #279

  • Background audio playback
