In MusicXML a note can be specified as a regular note, a grace note or a cue note. But in current MNX specification only regular and grace notes are considered but cue notes are not mentioned.

There was a reference in closed issue #138 to “cue sequences”. But that issue was closed in favor of sub-issues that do not mention cue notes.

Thus, the only open issue I have found, mentioning clue notes, is this one, that has no description. And the title suggests that cue notes will be treated in MNX as regular notes but with smaller typeface. Is this the idea?

Also, I found this reference to MusicXML w3c/musicxml#68 suggesting that perhaps, cue notes should be studied in more detail.

I would appreciate any comments about the ideas and plans, if any, for dealing with cue notes. Thank you.
