Integrate the previously designed protocol in status-go with parameters agreed with the Status product team. Provide the right REST API (if needed) to ensure this is tested by Vac/QA.
Harden the library as needed.

IMO, in order to start with that one, the following should be completed:

@shash256, what would you say a reasonable updated ETA for this deliverable is?
My intuition is to aim for basic Status integration working by end of Feb. Reason for the delay:

  • more complexity than expected to implement and review standalone Nim library
  • C bindings yet to be completed
  • likely to encounter complexities when integrating within status-go, e.g. having to trigger store queries for missing messages, mapping Status message IDs to queryable Waku message hashes, etc.

End of Feb sounds reasonable to me for basic Status integration. I agree with the reasoning as well.

@shash256 can we create some sub-issues here - one in nim-sds for creation of the Nim library and another in status-go for integration of the library?
