Most distros use systemd, the distro I'm using on this laptop is moving to systemd (PostMarketOS on an ARM chromebook) very soon, but currently the wd_startup scripts are relatively borked on non-systemd systems. This is in the face of everything a non-issue that I thought I'd mention anyways just in case.
