Add maintenance logging/reminders

A user requested: I have recently downloaded your gas mileage tracker and I like it very much. It would be awesome if there could be a notification/ reminder and a log to track oil changes. Just an idea......thanks

I'm up for ideas on how to implement this. Needs to be easy and not detract from the app's main purpose (calculating gas mileage). Maybe just ability to add "note entries" with an odometer value and a text entry field? Like this user suggests:

Hint: To enter a pure note, do not check filled tank, and enter 0.01 for the gallons and 0.00 for the cost. 《p》 I enter maintenence notes, ie oil changes, new tires, A/C recharges, brake jobs, etc. 《p》 Would like to be able to set my own date range for the graphs and reports. This would help if a special trip was taken.

I really like the app and am very interested in this enhancement. Here are my thoughts/suggestions

1. More optional fields when adding/editing a vehicle. This could be as simple as a notes box but it might be helpful to have a couple specific fields like engine size, oil viscosity, etc. This would help when purchasing supplies.
2. Keep the maintenance log separate from the fuel log as far as the UI buttons and plots go. On the main page perhaps a separate box below the Fuel box if the page could be made scrollable.
3. A Maintenance entry could at least consist of a Date, Odometer (optional), Total Cost, Time Spent, Notes. Notes would have to allow fairly significant number of characters. A Longer term enhancement could be adding some statistics off Total Cost.
4. It would be nice to have a "Send to Calendar" button when adding a maintenance log.
