С версии 1.4.9 имеется возможность выполнить фильтрацию по контроллеру site_content без задания родителей и конкретных документов.
Реализуется это связкой параметров

'idType'=>'parents'
'parents' => '',
'ignoreEmpty' => 1

Если отключена пагинация, то параметр ignoreEmpty не обязателен.
