The potential solution could change how the team wants to brand themselves, but removing the hexagonal shape and replacing it with a squircle in the right dimensions would be sufficient.

Can you take a screenshot of how the icon looks now in Big Sur and an example of other how other apps show it?

They look just as how they look on iPhone, with a squircle design. The MacOS icon design language tends to add subtle gradients and shadows to create depth between the icon and the background as well.

I would like to revive this issue that has been forgotten.

The current icon is out of the macOS standard margins

We have 4 options:

1. Leave it as it is and close the issue.
2. Make the icon smaller so that it doesn't go out of the margins.
3. Enclose it in a square like Brave or Telegram so that it doesn't lose its essence.
4. Make a new icon as Iina, the same previous example that @SethuSenthil suggests.
