Hi, I encountered the same issue but later after trying different things I figured out another way we can do it to work.
Instead of adding those 2 lines manually, try and select the from the colour scheme and Theme drop down menu. Its at: Preferences - Color Scheme - Cobalt2. & Preferences - Theme - Cobalt2
Once done those two steps, they will automatically appear in the settings-User file.
