I tried everything, changing the protocol, the minecraft protocol, the version. Nothing seems to work
everytime I host a server for 1.16.20 I see nothing in the friends tab. And I am connected to the same wifi.
It's impossible to debug or find the cause because there is no indicator or message whether the server successfully hosted or not.

Are you running the Minecraft instance on the same machine as the JRakNet server instance? If so, try running Minecraft on another device if possible. Windows 10 by default blocks this feature from working. There's a way to turn it off, but I forgot how exactly.
