Waveshare RS485 USB Can't connect'

Hi, apologies but a real fresh newbie here as only received Pi yesterday evening.

HA installed / HACS etc off an SSD

Sun2000 L1 Inverter - RCU comms via shielded twisted pair (cable only arriving tomorrow so no input)
I have installed the Huawei Solar integration but it fails to see by Waveshare adaptor - I tested in windows and dongle appears fine.
I tried manual entry /dev/ttyUSB0 which is the path I pulled from HA
Although I see the dongle has power does it need to see TX/RX activity before it works ???

No linux experience but very capable at cut and paste if any good.

Resolved - needed to be cabled to the inverter before detected
