New owner API via Modbus Q3 2023

Hi!

I recently got my PV system + batteries up and running. I asked about installer credentials from the installer company. They claimed that Huawei is updating their system during Q3 2023 to allow the system owners to create an API via Modbus TCP them selves, without having installer credentials.

Apparently this will allow full control of the system except for some installer specific commands (unclear which ones). Settings ike changing mode, charge/discharge power, fully fed to grid and similar will be allowed.

Will the 'elevated credentials' allow a system owner account after Huawei updates their system or does it -have- to be an installer account?

Unfortunately I don't have a source for this. I've tried a search, but find nothing. I'm guessing it's insider information from the installers.. Does anyone know?

@wlcrs Do you know if your integration will work for an owner account that can create the same API as the installer accounts can?
