- the team reviewed the current status of https://github.com/wmo-im/BUFR4/issues/161. See notes in comments.
- The team discussed who has authority to propose amendments. (Marijana)... (Simon) anyone can make proposals on behalf of anyone, but it would be a sensible working practice to consult with the source agency before making a proposal to this group; (Marijana) communicated with colleagues to learn more about the background and explained that there is an agreement b/t EUMETSAT and ECMWF for providing data in NetCDF; before was able to use [AMSU-A?] but cannot do this now and therefore need to convert DMSP satellite data to BUFR format. Further notes are captured in this issue: https://github.com/wmo-im/BUFR4/issues/158.
