How does ibc-generic-messaging work?

Context

Asked this question on discord but wasn't able to get an answer.

Problem

According to ibc-generic-messaging whitepaper, a cosmos chain must have a wormchain-ibc contract deployed. However, when I want to query the contracts deployed on Osmosis using wormhole-sdk-ts:

    const wh = await wormhole("Mainnet", [cosmwasm, sol]);
    const osmosis = wh.getChain('Osmosis');
    console.log(osmosis.config.contracts)

Prints

  coreBridge: undefined,
  tokenBridge: undefined,
  nftBridge: undefined,

  tokenBridgeRelayer: undefined
}

Also when I look up contract addresses I don't see Osmosis even though I know it's supported (Have completed Solana -> Osmosis and Osmosis -> Solana on Mainnet). So I could use answers to the questions below:

• How accurate is the ibc-generic-messaging whitepaper compared to the real life implementation? What are the deviating points, if any?
• What are the exact contract(s) I need to plugin Osmosis into the local dev environment tilt is providing?

Note

Not having any luck with worm cli tool as well. It's returning undefined for anything Osmosis related.
