I love this plugin and I use its latest version (1.7 oled_off) to stream my PSVita screen to my TV -fullscreen- via VLC -already with HW acceleration decoding enabled by default- through my Raspberry Pi 4 B.
I also have the sharpscale plugin -latest version- enabled. This is what I found:
Changing the scaling mode or algorithm inside the sharpscale configuration menu, clearly shows a difference between them on my PSVita screen. However, when doing it again but at the same time streaming my PSVita screen to my monitor via this plugin, it is very hard for me to notice any difference between different scaling modes or algorithms.
It seems as the sharpscale plugin were not enabled but actually it is. This happens inside adrenaline with PSP and PS1 games as well as with PSVita content.
Is this plugin working with a framebuffer that is not the same as the one scaled by sharpscale plugin?
If not -I think this is the case-, what could be the source if this issue?
