V3 Budget Request

Scope

For reference the last V3 BR: #222

Funding for the continued development, testing and deployment of the Yearn V3 system.

For a more detailed description of the vision and end goal of V3, please review the V3 YIP.

Since the last budget request we continued to improve on V3 with new versions, integration's and deployments.

This budget request is focused on the continued support for all V3 users both within Yearn and external. As well as a primary focus on continuing to simplify the V3 dev process.

Components:

1. Maintain and update Vault and Strategy core contracts as needed.
2. Maintain and add to periphery contracts and strategy mixes as needed.
3. Support new 3rd parties as they begin to integrate with the V3 system.
4. Support all Yearn teams that start building on and with the V3 stack.
5. Implement governance systems into the V3 stack.
6. Build automation systems for the full V3 lifecycle.

Status based on previous budget request goals.

• STB deployment is ready. Currently waiting for final details of implementation to be completed for use.
• Multi chain deployment kit completed https://github.com/wavey0x/yearn-v3-deployer

• Multiple large partners preparing to launch V3 vaults/strategies

Plan

• Continue to build on CLI deployment kit for multiple uses (project deployment/management).
• Work with Zootroops on Kalani deployment flow for UI of v3 deployment/management
• Explore decentralization of debt optimizer.
• Work with Docs to add new periphery options, addresses and explanation and marketing to work on V3 marketing for external partners
• Work with more external partners on unique and novel use cases for V3. Get feedback from current V3 users to help improve the process of using and building on V3.
• Develop novel periphery contracts and expand on existing versions. (YFI staking tranche)
• Continue to develop and expand on Core vault and strategy code
