Slow transfer rates

Using VitaMTP to copy my games off my vita is extremely slow, it took me 2 hours to download my games from PSN but a day to back them up to my PC. Is there any way to speed it up? Or is that the same sort of speed that the official cma works?

The problem is that although I can just back up my save games for psp, mini & psone game and redownload them if I want, you can't do that with vita games. Or can you?
