Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues and added correct labels.

Please describe the feature you have in mind and explain what the current shortcomings are?

Currently Kitsu has the ability to create bot users and issue API tokens for integration and automation using the Gazu API Are there any plans to adopt or consider an option to authenticate using bots instead of general users?

We are having trouble managing our studio to add a general user just for the sake of integrating with Kitsu🫠

Hi @AJpon! We recently have been encountering the same struggles within our studio, but found that bot authentication wasn't possible as Kitsu Event Listeners (which the processor uses) didn't support authentication via Bots, hence the need for a general user to authenticate.

This was recently fixed by the CG-Wire team (cgwire/zou#905) so will be looking to contribute this back as a feature at some point in the near future.
