portrait-of-senses-03
as everything else it's still missing much shading and texturing

this is a concept I really loved at first so I progressed with it a little further than the other two. then I realised that it needs a little more conceptualising and I had to stop to work on the other ideas. initially, I wanted it to draw on senses. our senses are the roots of both our knowledge and skills. Fedora is the tools we use to express them.

I wanted to inspire users to be most creative and develop their skills on Fedora desktop. You don't have to own expensive adobe subscriptions or a fancy machine to express your talent on Fedora.

early sketches:

the character's senses are divided by a golden ratio grid (or will be in the final version). to imply the perfection and fine craftsmanship everyone can pursue with Fedora.

then I found that the hand doesn't connect to the face as nicely as I first imagined:

I abandoned it and attempted to replace it with a visualise sequence of thoughts and sensual information. which in my mind should be quite nice but I haven't had the chance to explore it further in the illustration. currently it still looks quite dull.

now, I'm thinking that maybe I should divide these frames better. they don't actually have to connect. and the bottom-left one, can be the hand on a flat surface, writing/drawing, to represent the freedom of creativity Fedora provides. the top-right side is also not quite done. it's a cloud representing the freedom of thought and expression that the Fedora desktop let's you turn into finalised pieces of your creation.

this concept has much more potential but needs some additional brainstorming :)
