As there are may different issues needing the same solution, this issue should describe the problem and summarize the feature request.

Users want to save there preferences, mostly regarding the datatables.net behavior:

In order to solve this, changes to datatables.net should be saved with a cookie, so that when loading the next page, these preferences can be loaded.

I'm not sure if this could be done on the client side only (javascript) or if an API call to an oxidized-web URL is needed to set the cookie.
