Cannot map alt codes. #5
Comments
I understand the limitations of USB keyboard protocol. So ability to map a key to a sequence of values in the firmware would be a great workaround. |
Contact Truely Ergonomic. They have source code and may be able to improve their firmware. But I doubt they can meet your requests. They failed to provide their hyped keyboard program tool themselves and copied Yuri's this great hack tool on their site in the end :D Shameless! |
@sizur and everyone who will find this ticket and want to “me-too” it: Unicode would be theoretically possible but this requires support of the usage page 10h from the operating system. Linux, for example, does not have such support; as for other systems, I just don’t know. As for Alt+keypad codes, this is an input technique limited to Windows and to the union of ANSI and OEM code pages, so I don’t see the point of supporting it directly. In my opinion, all such non-universal use cases can be covered by the macro engine. @tmk: Truly Ergonomic have integrated my work from my permission and with my active coöperation, don’t badmouth them. |
Would be awesome to map alt codes directly. And/or Unicodes.
