more flexible landscape argument in surface functions #3

Currently the landscape argument in the surface functions requires an SF polygon feature object. This should be expanded to allow for rast, vect, and extent objects (probably stick with SF and terra packages for now)

could also have it use the extent of the input polygons if left null (maybe with a warning)
