this is very nice project.
but it would be nice, if there is a possibility to integrate own xmp-panels.
Will you do that?

I'm open to the idea . buy how do you think it can be approached ?

Because right now the ui is mostly dynamic and can be easily modified by
plug-in is something similar , but that's not the case with the library I
use for reading / writing the metadata, apache pdfbox.

Is there specific use case that you have ?

I have styled my own panel, to sort norm-pdfs

unfortunately I don't have experience in programming

Ok, so you mean panels using the XMP sdk ?

This is not possible at the moment, but I will check when I have the time how much work it might be to add such functionality.
