Definitions of key terminology

• MESSAGE is a string that is to be translated.
• MESSAGE ID is a string used to identify a certain message.
• TRANSLATION is a collection of messages in that are to be translated into a specific language.
• PARAMETER is a variable to be used in a message. They can be printed as is or operated on for pluralization and similar.

Target audience

• Translators looking to translate a project into a specific language.

Solution

The translation page should have a sidebar with a navigation bar, a message tree, and a publishing button.

The main part of the screen should show messages to be translated.

These designs are not comprehensive and are missing some aspects. The developers are meant to fill these gaps in.

Oops, I only meant to link the #107 as related to this issue. I did not mean to close this issue on merge.

Now that the translation page is mostly built and the only remaining missing feature is #81 I don't think it's helpful to keep two issues open long term to represent one piece of remaining work so I'm closing this. #81 is what's left and the rest of the translation page UI has been stable for ages now so it's time for any new ideas or bugs or enhancements that crop up to be their own separate issues.
