Interface Unresponsiveness and Refresh Issues when switching Notes

The interface often does not respond, meaning the display is not updated when I activate another note. I then have to switch back and forth or click on a link and jump back again, until ExcaliBrain finally awakes and displays the connections for the active note. The refresh button only works occasionally.
"Display central node as embedded frame" is not active. It also doesn't matter if ExcaliBrain is active in the main or pop-out window.
