# The Robotic Surgery Group at Aalborg University

In the Robotic Surgery Group (RSG), we are conducting research in assistive robotic surgery. The RSG is centered around our priced Intuitive Surgical da Vinci robot, for which we are constantly developing new hardware and software. Currently we are working on developing haptic feed-back to the operator through the joystick.

We have developed a custom interface to the robot, that alows us to connect it to the Robot Operating System (ROS). Although we have a working connection, this is a work in (constant) progress. All the code for the system is hosted here on GitHub.

If you would like to work with the robot, great! Have a look at the Getting Started guide

Project Management

GitHub provides an issue tracker, that we use to assign and keep track of tasks regarding the general system. For more specific code issues, we use the issue trackers of the individual code repositories.
