E-Learning Platform

This is a comprehensive E-Learning platform that allows users to enroll in courses, track their learning progress, and manage course content. The platform provides features for user authentication, course management, and learning module tracking, offering an intuitive interface for both learners and instructors.

Installation

Prerequisites

  • Java JDK 17+
  • MySQL or any relational database
  • Maven (for project dependencies)

Steps

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/ArshKumar84/ELearning.git
    cd ELearning
    
    
  2. Set up the database:

    • Create a MySQL database and update the application.properties file with your database credentials:
      spring.datasource.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/elearning
      spring.datasource.username=your-username
      spring.datasource.password=your-password
  3. Run the backend:

    • Build and run the project using Maven:
      mvn clean install
      mvn spring-boot:run

Usage

  1. Navigate to http://localhost:8080 for the backend (if using Spring Boot with Thymeleaf).
  2. If using React for the frontend, visit http://localhost:3000 to access the UI.
  3. Create an account and log in to access course materials.
  4. Instructors can manage their courses from the dashboard.
  5. Users can track their learning progress in each course.
