Thanks @htdat, the code changes look good to me but I found an inconsistent behavior while testing. It seems to originate on the server side, so I added a comment to the server PR with my findings.
I'm happy to pre-approve this PR because it's very likely it will not be affected by changes on the server-side implementation.
