Native 4K Tests

What works

• AJA Kona3G (flashed into 4K mode) -> AstroDesign 4K monitor
  • HD modes same as for normal mode
  • 4K/SuperHD - OK, but see notes
• AJA Kona3G (flashed into normal mode) -> AstroDesign 4K monitor
  • 1920i/p - 25fps displayed in left-top quater
  • 1920i/p - 29.97 and 30fps OK (fullscreen)
• Blackmagic DeckLink Quad + AJA GEN10 -> AstroDesign 4K monitor
  • AJA GEN10 settings (dip switches): HD, HD, BARS, 59.94, 1080
  • HD - OK
  • SuperHD - OK with sync (50/60i), 29.97/59.94 doesn't work

What does not work

• 2K modes failed in any combination (RGBA/YUV, 24/25/30f) on neither Kona 3G, nor DeckLink HD Extreme
• Generation of 4K testcard on Mac because of insufficient performance (all cores running at 100%)
• unable to nativelly output various modes on Kona 3G (RGBs, 24fps...)
