Rebased on dev, folded fixes into the appropriate commit and cherry-picked upstream commit https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/commit/243705aa6ea3465b20e9f5a8bfcf36d3153f3c10 to make the Morello tests happy again. Performance regression fixed by initializing cs_base which ensures that TB lookups succeed again. @qwattash base needs to be changed to |
Should probably be pushed manually to dev though, don't trust GitHub to do the right thing here. |

The QEMU PSCI emulation filters SMCCC calls for PSCI. Invalid function codes will cause an invalid instruction exception. - Fix the implementation to disregard the top 32bits of SMCCC FN codes, as for DEN0028D. - Allow SMCCC PCI configuration probing instead of raising an exception.
I have not dug into the MIPS pre-2008 floating point spec to figure out if QEMU or cheritest is incorrect here, but since we don't really care about MIPS anymore revert the change in e9e5534. Bisecting showed that since this change cheritest fails various test with the following error message: `sqrt.d failed to echo QNaN: 0x7ff7ffffffffffff != 0x7ff1000000000000`
There have been multiple changes to meson options and it appears an incremental build from pre-6.2 fails since it assumes atomics are no longer supported on x86 hosts.
We previously asserted that the memory region is exactly a multiple of the internal tagblock size, but this is not true for some of the unit tests. For example, the RISC-V tests create a machine with 16KB of RAM, but the tag block size is 64KB which would cause an assertion here. Relax the assertion to a warning (although I believe this case is actually handled correctly). In the future we could drop this warning.
The cheritest testsuite expects this to raise a reserved instruction error instead of being interpreted as a nop. I'm not sure what the correct behaviour is here so let's keep this downstream for now.

I tested it and I think it looks good now, I'm fine for merging. Should we open a ticket about the Pointer Masking extension to keep track of it? I don't think we are using it in any way right now and seems unlikely to be used anytime soon. |
