About The Pull Request
Reworks snailpeople to Juniperian standards of health.
For anyone new to the species (I don't blame you as they were previously locked away,) snails are, by default, six times slower. This is due to their backpack, which is a huge snail shell that you can alt-click to reskin into eleven different skins, made by DawsonKeyes, Supugaru, and Zydras. However, this shell is not a burden! It's a storage, essentially a zipper-free duffelbag, and offers 50% brute resist on the occasional attack; so long as you have your back to your opponent, or as long as you're resting. It can also be hit with a bluespace anomaly core to turn into a snail shell of holding. It's a bag of holding. But a shell.
Speaking of resting, snails crawl around at a human level of speed, and this also cleans the floor and seals them to it; they don't experience zero-gravity so long as they're crawling around on the tile. They also don't slip because they're already used to that shit and wouldn't do it a second time unless it's for a bit.
Snails also do not have bones. While this excludes them from certain wounds, this also excludes them from having punches any stronger than, like, five damage. You will also find that snails take brute damage from ingested or touched salt, and salt piles on the floor are literally impassable. They are a deadass wall like revenants.
I've also made two organ tweaks on Nova; snails have two hearts so double the health, and their livers are a bit stronger against poisons.
Body sprite rework by Supugaru, code rework for the bluespace cores by Mal. Rubber ducking by CliffracerX, motivation by Petrichor Len.
Why It's Good For The Game
Lore species and also one of the more mechanically feature-rich ones tbh.
