Translations #38

Is there only one .ts to translate ( master/lisp/i18n/lisp_it_IT.ts ) or are there more files? |
There are more files, for modules and plugins, take a look at the wiki |
@miharix can you give an approximate ETA for the translation? |
I've moved the official translations to transifex, take a look at the updated the instructions :) |
I'll try to do it till 11.09.16. |
@tornel done 😄 Thanks!!! |
Great! Do as you prefer, but marking them as "reviewed" is a good way to communicate that the translation it's ready to be included. |
@miharix Are the translations ready to be included or you need to review them? |
They should be ready. But I didn't had time to test them. |
Ok, when you think they're ok let me know, or mark them as "reviewed". |
Hi I was about to start translating LiSP to french but the language is not available. I've used the Request Language action on Transifex but it doesn't seem to work (Could not complete language request action. Please try again.). @FrancescoCeruti can you manually add fr_FR to the list of languages on Tx? |
Strange ... anway, done :) |
The 4/5 of october (after some 🍺), I'm going to release the new version, in which I will include the completed translation, even if not reviewed. |
hey! I just completed a french translation. BUT it will most definitely need review and corrections. |
@aroomthedoomed : I can offer a French translation review as soon as the file is committed to the github repo since I don't have an account on transifex nor do I want to have one. Please, ping me when it's ready. |
sorry. I don't know how to do that myself. maybe Francesco can help
I just did one using my github account
me neither at first, but seems like a good tool to translate the soft and help the project. didn't understand the "try for free" things though |
Re: Transifex, yes, but no. :) I'll wait for @FrancescoCeruti to commit the translation on github, or maybe someone else will review the translation before me and that'd be good. Up to you guys. |
@FrancescoCeruti @aroomthedoomed : done. Any feedback welcome. Hope that helps. |
@trebmuh @aroomthedoomed Merged and pushed to transifex Thanks again :) |
I've update the source files on transifex and on the git master, those files should be definitive for the next release (unless someone notice some error in the original strings) 😄 |
@FrancescoCeruti : done for the French translation : #61 |
@miharix I will release the new version by the end of February, are you able to update the Slovenian translations before that time? |
OK. I'll update till end of this week. Thanks for remembering. |
👍 great
Not from the UI, but you can launch it with |
Hi all, I'm testing a new translation workflow via Right now I've added only the Here the link to join the translations team, it's possible to login via as you can see at #123 a pull-request is automatically created with the new translations |
Hello @FrancescoCeruti , |
Hi, you should use https://crowdin.com/project/linux-show-player for new translations, if possible, I've added Arabic as an option. |
Keep in mind that the UI is build with a LTR (left-to-right) approach, it may need some changes to accomodate a RTL (right-to-left) language. |
Hi, I would like to contribute to the LISP translations. How can I do it? I am interested in the translation into Catalan and I can help with Spanish translation. |
Hi, you can start by taking a look at this page, where you can find some general indication on the process. |
Hi Francesco, can you create the files for the catalan translation in
crowdin and in the sources?.
EDIT: I created the files with ./i18n_update.py in my repo and started translating. ;-)

… Hi, you can start by taking a look at this page
<https://github.com/FrancescoCeruti/linux-show-player/wiki/Translations>,
where you can find some general indication on the process.
Keep in mind that new translations to date, to be included, should use the
development version of the application, as a starting point, mainly because
of the large amount of changes. If you have any question let me know :)

Hi Francesco, I made a pull request with the new catalan translation. |
If someone is interested in translating the new 0.6 version, now its the time 😄 |
I did the Catalan translation in the version 5.3 and now I see that in version 6.0 the files for the Catalan translation have disappeared. |
Lost during the 0.6 merge, sorry. I've added them back in the develop branch, here 4d65a59 |
Here you can ask/discuss about translations. To report a problem with translations open a new issues, thanks :)
