Here are some frequently asked questions to help you understand the mod better, and prevent asking questions that have been answered many times before.

Q: Is this mod compatible with X biome mod?

A: We have native support for Biomes O' Plenty, Traverse, and Conquest. Other biome mods will technically work, but you will need to manually define their jungle/desert biomes in the biome info config in order for those biomes to use tropical seasons.

Q: Why aren't my grass/foliage colors changing?

A: If you're using OptiFine, you must make sure the "Swamp Colors" option is enabled, or colors will not change with vanilla blocks.

Q: Can you make it so leaves die in Autumn/Winter and grow back in Spring?

A: No. Most vanilla trees (As well as trees added by other mods) are just straight lines made of logs, and they certainly wouldn't look good without leaves.

Q: Why aren't seasonal crops working?

A: By default, any crops not manually added to the fertility config file will be fertile in Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Additionally, some mods that add crops may not use the proper Forge hooks and methods that are required to cancel their growth event in Winter, so some plants added by other mods, even those that are listed in the config file, will still grow in Winter. Please report this to the author(s) of those mods, not us, as there's nothing we can do about it.

Q: Can you make it so days are longer in Summer, and shorter in Winter?

A: We will be looking into this in the future!

Q: Why doesn't the Day Duration config option work?

A: It does. However, it is not for changing the length of the day/night cycle. It's there for use in conjunction with other mods that change the length of the day/night cycle, as our seasonal cycle is independent from that, and has its own timer.

Q: Can you add support for X mod?

A: In most cases, any mods that would tie in with Serene Seasons will need to add support on their end. We provide an API that mod developers can use to check what season it is with their mods, and so on.
