User Problems

"While the busses are accessible, getting to them can be a major problem for me because there are **very poor curb cuts **or none at all. Construction blocks my way sometimes, forcing me to go across the street, risking getting hit by a car and then making me late for the bus, which may not have a wheelchair space free. Busses won't let me on if the wheelchair space is not open, this is a major problem. Some bus stops have sidewalks that have cracks and **bumps **in them, some on a steep angle so I could roll into the street, people do not always move out of the way for me to get on the bus or train.

There are a lot of physical and attitudinal barriers.i know it makes wheelchair users frustrated and some just give up because it is so hard and takes so so much time." (R)
