CONTENT:

  • The Kingdom of Rhovanion from the Expanded submod has been integrated
  • Foxy's Angmar neutral path (from the Expanded submod) has been integrated

BALANCE:

  • The Foundry building has been rebalanced
  • The piercing stat on spear equipment has been lowered somewhat
  • The difference between difficulty modifiers has been adjusted
  • Gondor has received a boost in power projection in the Ithilien crisis
  • Manpower losses from resistance to occupation has been rebalanced
  • The AI will now focus harder on staying up-to-date on infantry equipment
  • Some Rebalancing of Rohan/Isengard

BUGFIX/QOL:

  • Stopped focuses from being finishable when capitulated
  • Fixed bug with Ered Luin's Lune Valley purchase event
  • Fixed a bug where the fellowship newspaper event would pop up randomly late into the game
  • Fixed several localization errors
  • Fixed GUI problems in trade-view
  • Fixed Free Orcs of Mordor's focuses to start revolutions in Gondor and Rohan
  • "Restore Barad-Dur" focus now also grants a laboratory
  • Eomer will return from exile even if Rohan doesn't control Helm's Deep
  • Shire independence demand will no longer show up if the Shire is already independent
  • Fixed minor visual bugs in equipment designer
  • The Pro-Eorl resistance movement will now start even if Grima never gains over 18% influence (Delay will still be influenced)
  • Fixed orc moria missing equipment in Moria CW
  • Fixed ship icons not appearing correctly

HOI4:

  • Götterdämmerung: Updated mod to work with the new HoI4 version and DLC
  • Alchemy and sorcery: Integrated new special projects system with 16 new special projects
  • Raiding and infiltration: Integrated new raids system with 14 new raids

CONTENT:

  • Achievements: Added 8 new achievements
  • Buildings: Reworked all vanilla buildings, added several new types, including unique landmarks
  • Rohan Rework: Reworked Rohan's focus tree, events and added new gameplay mechanics
  • Added Dunland: In preparation for the Isengard rework, Dunland has been added as a new country
  • AI rework: Reworked AI division template design and research priorities. Expect to find a lot more specialized divisions (including armored ones)
  • Ered Luin: Revised and integrated Ered Luin and Ered Lindon from the Expanded Submod
  • Ent Research Tree: Added new secret tech tree for the Ents (partially contributed by sealord72)
  • Manpower numbers: All manpower/population numbers have been divided by 10 to provide more realistic values for medieval warfare. This should not affect balance
  • Technology changes: Several techs in the Alchemy, Intrigue, Farming and Metalwork have received major changes or additions

BALANCE:

  • Lowered the speed and organization of catapults (soft attack unchanged)
  • Balrog, Giant and Ent units have received a major buff, while Spider units have received a minor one
  • The AI is now more likely to vote for Martial or Hegemony Elven-Assembly types
  • Unaligned Lothlórien's defense bonuses have been toned down
  • Air/army XP gained from training has been significantly increased
  • Air XP gained from air-combat and other missions has been significantly increased
  • Army XP given by council-of-war advisors has been significantly increased
  • AI Mordor now has a 20% chance to initiate the Ithilien Crisis
  • Heavy infantry have received a major buff

VISUAL:

  • Several unfitting focus and spirit icons have been replaced with new ones
  • The map frame 3D Model has been replaced
  • Cavalry units now use the vanilla horse models (without rider)
  • The decisions and research tab UIs have been improved
  • The trade tab UI has been improved
  • The division template designer UI has been improved
  • The equipment designer UI has been improved
  • The train and deploy UI has been improved
  • The production tab UI has been improved
  • All division icons have been redone/reworked to provide better visual clarity
  • All ship icons have been redone/reworked to provide better visual clarity
  • The main menu, country-select screen and loading screen have been entirely reworked

BUGFIX / QOL:

  • Fixed a bug that made the Catapult II tech available 2 years ahead of time
  • Fixed ring not transferring when countries are annexed
  • Added a custom game rule to disable the ring mechanic (experimental)
  • Fixed several broken achievements
  • Fixed several MIO-related traits that didn't apply correctly (contribution by Nannan22)
  • Many, many more undocumented changes, adjustments and fixes

NOTE:
Save games from previous versions will not be compatible.

General:

  • Fixed the "Beacon are lit" decisions not always working properly
  • Fixed localization and image of referendum event
  • Added local supply to several states
  • Significantly increasedd the bonus range you get from setting supply hubs to 'motorized'
  • Allowed several revolutionary countries to create their own factions (Contribution by sealord72)

Dorwinion:

  • Added new custom icon for the Wine National Spirit (Contribution by yeoudal)

Dol Amroth:

  • Fixed missing localization for events

Mordor:

  • Added Sauron as a general when ring is obtained and Sauron is released
  • Made sure the change of Isengard getting puppeted or refusing is not just up to change
  • Added icon to "Secret Intel"

Arthedain:

  • When Aragorn is growned king he now also becomes a general
  • Added 6 new cities

Angmar:

  • Sauron/Nazguls now also dies when in charge of Angmar
  • Added Sauron as a general when ring is obtained and Sauron is released

Mordor:

  • Two air related focuses from 70 days -> 35 days
  • Reworked and relocated the "War Preparations" focus path
  • Mordor no longer starts with any anti air since they never started with the research anyways

Gondor:

  • Eyes of the White Tower will now bypass if you have already created a intelligence agency
  • Made a various of small changes to the research focuceses of Gondor

Angmar:

  • Incorrect focus filter removed from Dig out the mountains
  • Added new event related to hidden path
  • Now starts with one dockyard

Arthedain:

  • Now starts with a small navy existing of three ships
  • Now starts with two dockyards

General:

  • Higher change AI Angmar goes down the republic path if Arthedain is restoring Arnor

Arthedain:

  • Replaced the generic focus tree part of Arthedain focus tree with a custom one
  • Change of Rhudaur and Cardolan joining the faction of Arthedain is more relayable on things like opinion or having a non agression pact
  • Gaining core on former Arnor now takes multible focuses instead of instant with the event
  • Added events for when countries accept/denie entry to faction
  • Added events for when coutrnies accept/denie reunification of Arnor
  • Added way to get Aragorn as your leader onced you have reunited Arnor
  • Added custom rule for Arthedain to set path to follow
  • Expanded becoming cooperative/belligerent/revolutionary mechanic
  • Changed the chief advisors

Angmar:

  • Fixed Rid the world from evil focus not working correctly
  • Fixed bug where Gondor wasnt allowed to sent volunteers when they should have been
  • Fixed Prince of Terror not unlocking correctly after completing focus
  • Isildurs Legacy spirit will now be removed when switching from Aragorn to Denethors path
  • Added focus filter for Denethor Paranoia
  • Small improvements on the AI
  • "Stand Our Ground" now reduces Denethors Paranoia aswell

Other:

  • Added world tension > 20% to "Suggest war with Gondor"
  • On the generic tree small changes are made related to the AI
  • Moved ring corruption to the decisions
  • Fixed various missing focus icons in focus trees
  • Add new chief advisor to Cardalon
  • Recently added ideology related focus filters added to various focus trees
  • Erebor help towards Moria is now based on there opinion on them
  • The attempts to take the ring should now be in line with historical when historical is on
  • Grima now gives a debuff on war support instead of a buff
  • Added new decision for Mirkwood to deal with Mordor infleunce in Dol Guldur. (One the AI also knows how to use)
  • Fixed Isengard Transportlines focus giving 10 infrastructure
  • Siege Tower image not showing correctly has been fixed
  • Lembas Bread works as attended again
  • Lothlorien advisor Khelrum works as attended again
  • Small changes and improvements on Erebor Focus tree. Changing a lot of the 70 days => 1 research bonus focuses and stuff

Fixed bug where Lothlorien could dismantle Ringwraiths without the ring
