This covers:

  • changes to the wind energy system, allowing for rich model input specifications, supporting engineering wake models, RANS, and atmospheric perturbation models

  • Changes to the energy resoure to support richer atmospheric descriptions

  • changes to the wind energy system allowing for 2 output types:

    • turbine outputs, which capture turbine-specific properties like power and speed
    • flow field output, which is a map of the resulting simulated flow field
  • removal of the initial_layout flag in the wind farm

  • additional flexibility in parsing scientific notation
