Hi there, my name is João Tavares 👋

I'm a Computer Scientist, Data Scientist, and aspiring Machine Learning Engineer with 3 years of professional experience.

Currently, I’m expanding my expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Data Engineering by working on real-world projects and exploring cutting-edge techniques through online courses and technical resources.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve applied my knowledge to Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Big Data:

  • As a scientific researcher, I conducted a study on over 40 neural network architectures for text correction, integrating Deep Learning with NLP.
  • As a Back-end Developer, I worked with the C#/.NET/ASP.NET stack, building scalable, robust systems.
  • Recently, I’ve been involved in Data Engineering projects, working on pipelines and integration to optimize data processing workflows.
