Hotkeys

In the settings you can configure the available hotkeys (a few basic ones are set up by default).

Every hotkey has a shortcut-key (click in the textbox and press your shortkey to set it, or press backspace to clear it).

Also has every hotkey a scope:

  • "Whole Window" means the hotkey is available anywhere in the AlpehNote window
  • "Notes list" means the hotkey is available while the focus is in the (left) notes sidebar
  • "Folder list" means the hotkey is available while the focus is in the (left) folder sidebar (only interesting with enabled folder mode)
  • "Notes edit area" means the hotkey is available while the focus is in the central edit area where you edit the note text
  • "System global" means the hotkey is always available, even while AlephNote is minimized. This is useful for example for Create new note or Show main window

Its is by design that every action in AlephNote can theoretically be assigned a hotkey. But of course its not really sensible for all of them...
