About The Pull Request

Buffs SWAT gear from the SWAT gear crate.

Why It's Good For The Game

Makes SWAT gear a viable option for Security. Idea is to make it better for assaults but keeps the slowdown evident so you aren't going to be running or chasing as much

Changelog

🆑
add: Seclite mount for the NT SWAT Helmet
qol: SWAT Helmets now hides hair
del: SWAT Helmet mouth coverage
balance: SWAT gear now has more bullet resistance
balance: SWAT suit now has less slowdown (0.7 to 0.5)
fix: Realigned the East direction of the NT SWAT helmet so it doesn't look out of place. Was shifted over one pixel by accident.
/:cl:

Slightly increases the bullet resistance of SWAT gear.
Adds seclite mount for the NT SWAT HELMET.
Slightly lowers SWAT suit slowdown from 0.7 to 0.5.
SWAT helmets now hide your hair.

Readd mouth coverage unless snug fit does the same thing against xenos? (just reread this it's an entirely different helmet from what i thought disregard)

whoops i forgot to move that to clothing flags. all it does is stop your hat from being knocked off by hat throws

Looks like just straight buffs all around listed as follows from what I've read;

  • Allows pill usage w/ the mouth not being covered anymore allowing for easier in-combat healing.
  • Body armor/helmet increased brute resist (30 -> 40) to potentially tank more damage in melee/versus ballistic damage.
  • Helmet can't get knocked off by hat throwing anymore.

I don't think this'll cause too many issues so long as Cargo isn't constantly buying these and using them for themselves instead of handing them off to Sec now that they're much more robust.

Perhaps cranking the price tag on SWAT gear could help offset this potential issue given that Sec can just buy them for free w/ their Departmental Order Console.

With the new company imports, and stuff like hardened armor (With 50 bullet armor and respectable armor elsewhere) I agree that SWAT armor could use a buff.

I think TG also has some changes for them so you could look into those as well

the TG changes were that you can’t be shove knockdowned anymore in SWAT. personally i dont like that change
