Handbook: Engagement
Page summary: how lab website and social media work; expectations surrounding public outreach, including from official lab accounts; social media policy for personal accounts; protocol for recruiting participants in the community; being a good departmental citizen
Here are instructions for adding content to the lab website. While your initial information will be added to the site by whoever maintains it, any new information or posts should be added by the relevant individual through a pull request.
We recommend that every lab member build their own personal website. This doesn't need to be anything flashy- all you really need is a photo, a blurb, some contact information, and your CV. This is very useful, as academics' profiles tend to become outdated as they move from lab to lab. Having one centralized location that you control, to which all other profiles can link, makes it easier for interested individuals to find you and learn about what you're working on.
