The official openSUSE Tumbleweed container has proven one of the most unstable links in our continuous integration system. They periodically make changes to their dependency trees that break package installation, blocking our pipeline for hours or days at end.

Over the years I have attempted to migrate to the stable Leap container, but it is hardly updated and incompatible with GitHub Actions.

The original motivation for testing continuously on openSUSE was for the custom sysV init script, which has now been removed a while ago.

We still have the Fedora job for covering Linux of the RPM flavor.
