BetterCrewLink looks at your Among Us memory RAM to get data from your location and with that sends it to the server and the server sends the voice to others who are close to you.
No it's a false/positive alert of virus, many YouTubers and Streamers and people use BetterCrewLink, it is totally safe, Windows ends up "blocking" the BetterCrewLink because of a stupid Microsoft license and this license does this: if you have it in your program, it will never alert you to viruses, but if it does not have the license, Microsoft will always try to block the program and for you to put the license in your program to two methods: buying the license (we will never do that because we don't make MUCH money from anywhere and everything is thrown in the trash just for one license) and the other hitting the downloads goal, but then you ask yourself, oh but you have much downloads, so why don't you have the license? Well, whenever we release a new version, all the progress we've made in downloading the previous version goes to waste, so that's why whenever we post a new version of a virus alert, if you still aren't convinced, click here and place the BetterCrewLink file, so it will do a scan of the file with "all" antivirus (some antivirus will say it is a trojan or something, but as I said is a false/positive alert of virus), but if you still convinced, the all code is on GitHub, so you can explore the code to see if are some trojan or something like this.

Does BetterCrewLink work with the new update of Among Us without having the "MENU" bug infinitely in the normal CrewLink?

BetterCrewLink is a fork and better version of CrewLink (proximity voice chat mod for Among Us) with new features such as: listening to people on cameras, impostor radio, support for mobile, support for new version (v2021.6.30) and also with bug fixes such as: fixing NAT problems, robotic voices, fix MENU bug and it works just like CrewLink did.
Yes, they have an updater that whenever you open the program, it will check for any updates, if there is one it will automatically start updating to the latest version.
Yes, all mods are compatible with BetterCrewLink (up to 100 players, only one thing is that the more people in the room using BetterCrewLink the more the use of your CPU will increase and you will probably suffer from very strong robotic and locked voices) minus Among Us: CE (Community Edition) for now, because as it uses an old version of Among Us, it cannot recognize it.

WARNING: other screen recorder programs that does not have the "Browser" option, OBS Overlay will not work, because you need to put the link for OBS Overlay to work, I recommend that you use OBS Studio or Streamlabs, they are the recorders most used by people and also they come with the "Browser" function.
