A Google Data Analytics capstone project on Bellabeat’s products and smart device data to gain insight into how consumers are using their smart devices. Analysis was done utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SQL Server. The datasets used are listed below:

Bellabeat is a high-tech manufacturing company focused on women's health products. The company’s objective is to become a more prominent player in the global smart device markets.
Analyse smart device data usage in order to gain insight into how consumers use non-Bellabeat smart devices and use those insights to guide Bellabeat’s marketing strategy.
- Trends Identify
- The average highest number of Steps per day for participants was recorded at 18:00:00 (6 pm) with 542,848 steps, over 2000 steps below the necessary minimum.
- In a month, participants spent 79% of their time sedentary.
- The participants averaged 25.19 BMI, which is overweight.
- On average, participants slept less than the recommended 7 hours.
- The participants weren't consistent with logging/tracking their data each day, and some didn't log/track their sleep or weight (only 24 unique users for sleep and eight for weight - where only two of these eight made up the majority of the inputs).
- Participants didn't lose weight, improve BMI or sleep quality, or increase exercise levels.
- Users use health-tracking devices throughout the day, not only at the gym. Bellabeat marketing campaign should not only focus on health but on the beauty and the image their products portray. Their products must be fashionable.
- Bellabeat can emphasize the protection of its clients’ private information as these devices become part of their lives.
- Most users of health devices are young adults, Bellabeat can use social media as means of advertising
- Time slots for advertising can be in the early morning as people are getting ready for work and in the afternoon when people are leaving their jobs and going to the gym.
- Provide health campaigns that encourage healthy lifestyles. Provide its clients with comprehensive health information by showing how different health metrics work together.
- Emphasize the importance of tracking heart rate and send warnings whenever certain thresholds are exceeded. Offer the option to link their devices to medical services in case of an imminent heart attack.
- Send training reminders before times when users are most active.
- Ensure that their devices have a long-lasting battery so that users can use their devices for longer.
