Clerk User Authentication with Next.js

This repository contains a Next.js application with Clerk user authentication. Clerk is a powerful authentication and user management platform that makes it easy to add secure user authentication and user management to your web applications.

Getting Started

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone <repository-url>
    cd <repository-directory>
    
  2. Create a .env.local file: Create a .env.local file in the root of your project directory. Add the following environment variables to configure Clerk authentication:

    NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_PUBLISHABLE_KEY=YOUR_CLERK_PUBLISHABLE_KEY
    CLERK_SECRET_KEY=YOUR_CLERK_SECRET_KEY
    

    Replace YOUR_CLERK_PUBLISHABLE_KEY and YOUR_CLERK_SECRET_KEY with your Clerk publishable key and secret key, which you can obtain by signing up for Clerk at clerk.dev.

  3. Install dependencies:

    npm install
    
  4. Run the development server:

    npm run dev
    

    Your Next.js application with Clerk user authentication is now running locally at http://localhost:3000.
